About Moored.at
Moored.at was started by two like-minded software engineers who also happened to have an interest in boating.
While spending time in various marinas in different places, we’ve seen plenty of pain-points for marina operators, as well as for boat owners in the same situation as us. Wanting to be out on the water, but instead found ourselves stuck in an office in some marina with an equally frustrated marina employee struggling with old-fashioned and slow software and complicated processes and forms.
Must it really be this hard?
The frustrations created a desire to improve the lives of marina operators and like-minded boaters which in turn led to different conversations. Our conversations ultimately led to us banding together to create a cloud-based, online service with a goal of easing some of the most common pain-points and to speed up the most time-consuming administrative tasks and in some cases eliminate them altogether.
As we’re both seasoned IT-specialists, the service we have created is fully “homegrown” and naturally it is cloud-based, available on our phones.
One of our core values is being environmentally friendly and about using locally produced products so we decided that our software must reflect those values as well; hence the locally produced software.
And so, Moored.at – the Marina Mooring Rental Platform was born.
